Hey guys,

I was reading a recent post and the term VGA came up. Now i know VGA deals with graphics in games and such, but what makes VGA so desirable in a ppc? What can it be used for? Also, it would be interesting if anyone knew what was used in current ppc in place of VGA. Thx for your help

VGA means 640x480 (or 480x640) resolution. You can get 4 times as much information on a 480x640 screen as a standard Pocket PC (QVGA, or 240x320) screen... or you can view the same information at a much sharper resolution.

In other words... for QVGA 76800 pixels vs 307200 for VGA.... or as was mentioned 4 times as much information...

Take a look at www.gpspassion.com and you will see an article, with screenshots, showing how vga can be a real advantage in GPS applications. The extra information you can get on the screen is amazing.
