Was hoping to see some price drops on the 4150/55 Ipaq and the HP bluetooth units... anyone know of some deals for either of those anywhere on the net? I am ready to buy! :?:

I've been kind of following that out of curiosity. Hate to dissapoint you, but my research indicates that the price has pretty much stayed between $425-$450. I was fortunate enough to get mine right before the price started inching up. I paid $375 w/free shipping from
www.Mobileplanet.com
and I see that they are now offering it for slightly less than $400. That may be your best bet.

Mobile Planet has the 41xx for $394 with $100 off if you subscribe to Audible.com...if you're intrested in that. The 4155 with 1+1 stylus is $294.95 with audible until Jan 16 and I'm getting it. :D

I looked at that price, but since you have to pay $14.95 for 12 months for the Audible subscription, it turns out to be $179, which happens to be $79 more than the $100 off...so not such a good deal in my opinion.
I ordered mine from compuplus.com (http://www.compuplus.com/insidepage.php3?sid=il34b0qgnthj277&id=1001617) for $404 with no tax. 8)

While it's not as small and light as the 41xx series, and if you don't mind a refurbished unit, my wife ordered an iPAQ 5555 for me from HP's Outlet Store for Christmas. With their current Red Tag sale you can get it for $467.99. I was torn between the 41xx's and the 5555 and was going to go for a 41xx because I couldn't see paying $649 for the latter. But when it was only $20 more than the normal retail price for a 4155 it was a no-brainer for me  I wanted BT, WiFi and the 128mb of memory!
Now I'm just waiting for it to get here. Fedex says it's scheduled for delivery tomorrow!!
Oh yeah, if you meet HP's Academic Purchase Program requirements, it also works at their outlet site so then the 5555 is $421.99.

Where could I find more info about HP's Academic Purchase Program?
I searched hp's site but it didn't come up with anything related. Thanks for the help.

Actually Snack, its not such a bad deal since the New York Times Digest which I am interested in from Audible, is less than the subscription price of $230.40/year ($19.20/month). So for a digest with the essential news every weekday, the savings is actually $4.25/month or $51/year. But of course this deal is only attractive for myself or others who read the Times regularly... at least when time permits. In fact, being in Audible format I can actually get more out of the Times during my commute. So I agree, unless you can save by using Audible content, or unless you're simply interested in what they have to offer, it may not be so great a deal. For me though, it is. :D
