iPAQ 3800 Question?

HAs anyone had problems with the iPAQ not syncing? Keep in mind that everything has been working for a long time! All the sudden I turn to do something on the iPAQ and while in the Inbox everything is being removed? Any ideas?

I'm saying this with a bit of scorn, but I think it's a feature of ActiveSync 3.7.1 if that's what you're running.

But anyway, try this trick: locate where the backup.stg file is save when ActiveSync proerforms a backup and go to that directory. You should find 3 files: backup.stg, repl.dat and outstore.dat. Uncradle the iPAQ and make sure the iPAQ is not syncing if you also sync wirelessly. Delete the repl.dat and outstore.dat (and any other file found there besides backup.stg; you might want to move this file temporarily to have a backup for the last time the file was creaed). Now cradle the iPAQ and lit it sync. Things should be back to normal.
