Since I am a new PPC user (just got my first one this Chirstmas), I really am looking for the pros and cons of Dell and iPAQ. I just received the 1945 with Bluetooth. I have a couple friends that have the Dell X3. So far the only difference I see is that the X3 is faster (400 mhz as opposed to 266Mhz for the 1945). The X3 is about $80 to $100 more expensive too. The 1945 is smaller then the X3 -- which I like. However, should I be concerned about the 1945's upgradable features (if it has any)? What else should I be aware of?

Don't be fooled by the processor speeds (400 MHz vs. 266 Mhz).
The 1945 has a Samsung processor which is quite different from the XScale processor that the X3 has. I have heard that the Samsung is actually faster!
I'd be interested to find out if this this true - if you have the chance to do some side by side comparisons - please share your conclusions via this thread.
The 1945 is indeed upgradable via it's SDIO slot which can accept SD memory cards, SDIO Wi-Fi cards, plus a variety of other specialty cards (cameras, GPS, Barcode Scanners etc).
All in all - I think you made a good choice with the 1945. Have fun!

I have benchmark results that 1940 is faster than some 400mhz devices but I dont know how to add an attachment here on the forum.
