I've been using Money for a few years now, and one thing that always bothered me about Money 2001 is that the only option for backup is to use a floppy disk. I recently got a new laptop, and was very disappointed to find out that this hasn't changed. Everytime I backup to floppy, I have to insert and exchange 3 floppies. That is just plain ridiculous. Here we are in 2003, most laptops don't even come with floppy drives anymore, yet MS in their infinite wisdom decided that this is the best way to backup your money data.

Before I get bashed back, I know that I can copy the money file to a CD, and I do, I just think that this should be an option in the backup utility within Money.

I always back up to my compactflash card... Never a problem..

Money is quite anal about backups... I find myself not doing them because of its odd ways.

I just run a freeware backup utility (Freebyte Backup (http://www.freebyte.com/fbbackup/), LazyMirror (http://www.xs4all.nl/~wstudios/LazyMirror/index.html)) on my Quicken data directory (sorry - haven't used Money in years ;)) that essentially performs a DOS copy/xcopy to a backup drive whenever I exit Quicken.

I am sorry but I don't see your problem. :? When I go to back up, I have a choice to use a floppy, cd or some other hard drive(I have partitioned my hard drive to three logical drives). Also, I recognizes my SD card reader and thumb drive so I could back up to them. Looks to me like quite a few back up options.
