Does any one know how I would be albe to do this. I have a iPAQ 3790 and a Sony Ericsson T616. So far I am aware that I can transfer themes, photos and sounds but what about contacts?

I have Pocket Informant which allow contacts to be sent to my Nokia 6310. However, it only really works for individual contacts.
If you want to synchronise the whole contacts lists from pocket outlook or large parts of it, I'd recommend using one of the phone utilities such as:
- Smart GSM www.smartsoftworks.com/smartgsm/
- Running Voice GSM www.pocketpresence.com/rvgsm.asp
- Pocket Phone Tools http://www.bvrp.com/ENG/products/pocketPhoneTools/
These also do a whole lot more such as allowing you to synchronise and/or send SMS messages from your PDA. I think Pocket Phone Tools even allows you to send and receive faxes.
Personally, I use Smart GSM, which works well. You effectively import the contacts you want from pocket outlook into the phone addressbook. From then on, Smart GSM will synchronise the contacts in both directions. Very useful when someone changes their telephone number!

I don't have a BT phone to try it with, but my iPaq 4155 has Bluetooth built in.
I've added Microsoft's Power Contacts Power Toy (don't know if that makes a difference or not, but I'd rather list it and have it not matter, than not list it and have it be the enabling factor).
When I tap-and-hold on a contact I get an option to Send via Bluetooth, when tapped it brings up my Bluetooth Browser and attempts to discover all Bluetooth enabled devices within range.
This works FABULOUSLY well with another Pocket PC, but I haven't tried with any other BT enabled devices...
On a distantly related note: Did you know that the '04 Toyota Pruis comes with BT as an optional accessory?
