View Full Version : Creating shortcuts to Help files?

Under Start, I've created a folder called User Guides. In that folder I've placed shortcuts to TXT, DOC, RGO (Repligo) files, etc. This is to complement the help documentation accessible via Start|Help, as I have quite a few programs that don't place any documentation in that location. And, even for those that do, there are sometimes extra or temporary files I'd like to access. Anyway, I was hoping to add shortcuts to some of the HTM help files too. But whether I make a shortcut of the HTM file itself, or copy the LNK file I find in \Windows\Help, that doesn't work.

I found on then running the shortcuts, they either behaved erratically (such as giving me just a brief glimpse of the file in IE), or froze, requiring soft-reset.

Is there some way I can add such shortcuts, which will bring up the same help displays as via the Start|Help route please?
