Hello everyone :) :D

Well I am looking for a notebook and I have looked for a passively cooled notebook and havent found a single one yet. I was wondering if any of you could tell me whether they exist or not. I know that passively cooled Tablet PCs exist, but I am looking for a notebook. If anyone can help me out here it would be greatly appreaciated.

If I remember correctly, the 12" Aluminum Powerbook is passively cooled... but it runs really hot.

I think he wants a computer, not an Apple.

:twak: ;) The previous Apples weren't computers, but an OS X-based machine is, finally.

Don't talk until you've actually licked a PowerBook. :razzing:

are you using it on a table, or on your "lap" ? I know it tends to run hot w/o much circulation, but there IS a fan in there IIRC. I know my iBook fan only comes on when it's been in my lap for an extended period of time, but on a table it doesn't ever come on unless I'm downloading large files for an extended period of time.

I don't have one, and don't use one. I'm just replicating what I've heard from others (about the heat). That said, a quick :google: confirms what you say. Oh well. :|

That said, as you imply, G4s generate less heat than their P4 counterparts... although I'd be interested in a power output comparison between G4s and Centrinos.

Good question about the power. Apples are supposed to be the "ULEV*" of the computer world ;)
