My week old e750 battery went from 100% to 15% in 24 hours after zero use.

My corporate helpdesk tells me if I let my e750 'timeout' it's actually in sleep mode and I must physically shut it off with the power switch for it to be truly off.

Is that a load of hockey or are they on target?

I've had an iPAQ with the same OS for 2 years and whether it times out or I turn it off, it's all the same.

There shouldn't be any difference. I'm pretty sure this is BS... unless they've messed with your unit and done something bizarre with the Pocket PC OS's auto-poweroff mechanisms.

I would just double check your power savings....I have the E750 and the power drain per day is less than 10%. I know that if I use the WiFi it eats the battery.....There are some power savings settings that I would check just to be sure that all is ok.....One other thing I would check....I had to turn off the "wake pda when hitting the record button". Every time I would pull the unit out of the little slipper case my fingers would turn on the recorder....perhaps yours was turned on by accident and recorded several hours of nothing and burned up the battery until you ran out of free memory? Just a few thoughts.
