...that changes the start menu? I like the XP-themed taskbar much better than the default. I've been reading and searching for over an hour now and can't find any reference to it.

If you mean changing your start menu items, you do that thru Start -> Settings -> Menus. But I think you probably mean the format or style of the start menu. I don't think I've seen anything on that.

I would imagine it's either Wisbar (http://www.pelmarinc.com/html/pocket_pc.htm) or Wisbar Advance (http://www.lakeridgesoftware.com/) (with a nice skin  )...

Personally I use IcBar (http://www.ictinus.com/icbar/) but it might be GigaBar (http://www.gigabar.com) or a plethoria of other simular utilities (MOST of which are based on the original WISBar (http://www.lakeridgesoftware.com/wisbar/) code).

Surf to FREEWAREPPC (http://www.freewareppc.com/utilities/utilities_taskmanagers.shtml) for a list of such programs.

It looks a lot like some of the XP skins for Pocketblinds (http://www.stardock.com/products/pocketblinds/) too

IcBar is EXTREMELY good. It has a bunch of skins available and you can even make your own. WisBar Advance is good if you need a lot of options.

Well, after a few more hours of reading on the various options, I've also concluded that IcBar is the best out there. However, it's not yet fully compatible with network connections; I have a Toshiba E-750 with built in 802.11b. I guess I'll need to wait for a newer version to add in that functionality.

That IcBar tops the rest (of the free aps of this sort) has been my experience too. Never crashes. Only thing: when I start my Ipaq backup software, I have to turn IcBar off. Other than that, it's outstanding.
