Wi-Fi enabled PPC + Wi-Fi camera = live video streaming and still shots

Is this possible?

I was just checking out the Linksys WVC11B wifi camera and thought i might ask.

If you look at the data sheet for this unit, it says that it requires IE 5.5. If that is true, then chances are it will not work.

It is possible. Check out the other cameras.

I have installed SONY PTZ network camera SNC-RZ30 on top of the tallest building in the city to provide live video feed to our police and fire guys. (and occasionally CHP)
This camera is viewable with IE5+ or PocketPC (w/latest camera firmware). On PC IE, you have 2 options. ActiveX viewer and JAVA viewer. On PocketPC, only JAVA viewer is available. I tried to find Jeode Java Runtime in my 4355 companion CD, but it wasn't included, so I had to use NetFront. I could successfully view and control the camera.

SINCE this is wireless forum, let me add few more things...
We used to link the camera site to our datacenter using Cisco aironet 350 bridges(2.4Ghz) and I found it very unstable. (awful bandwidth too) I waitched to Proxim 5Ghz wireless link and we are getting whopping 18Mbps. (9Mb one way) Videos come across at 29FPS!!!!!! 8O

Remember, you are being watched wherever you go.......
