Hard resetting a 1940

How do you hard reset a 1940?

I tried the routine I use on my other Ipaqs buttons 1+4 + reset ... but no go.

That thread doesn't list my way. Push the power button down 3 or 4 times fairly fast, automatic hard reset. Course I wasn't especially wanting to accomplish this, just wante the dang thing to come on. Good thing it was the weekend.
