I wanted to see how many people out there actually use cases. The thread (http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=21693) about if you feel nervous carrying your electronics reminded me about how I didn't take my e755 to school until I had an aluminum case for it. I wanted to see how many other people were this protective.

Coat pocket or waist pack. No case.

nekkid baby!!!

I just haven't found a case I like... Always too bulky, clumsy, or cheap looking. Someday, maybe.

ABS plastic case from DSI (http://www.dsi-usa.com)for my axim. The XDA II is still using the leather case that came with it.

I use both a leather Vaja case and an aluminum Rhinoskin case.

The Vaja case is for work and "dressy" stuff, while the metal case does double duty - I removed the "door" and use the case in the car as a holder (attached by velcro to an Arkon Powered Multimedia windshield mount).

When I go geocaching, I remove the metal case from my car and put the Axim in it with the screen facing backwards so it's protected.

Kinda complicated, but it works.

I've always used E&B Slipper leather cases, but with my new 4150 I might go aluminum.

Vaja-case, protecting it against falling and accidental hits while keeping it thin.....

I want a Vaja for my 4155, but I don't want it black and I refuse to pay almost $30 more just to get another color.

I can't believe how liberating having an aluminium case is! I don't think twice about taking my 2210 with me everywhere.

Oh... and I have Pocketpcthoughts to thank... I got the case from their Proporta contest about a month ago.

Thanks!

I carry mine on my hip using a leather case. I like having the wallet feature so I dont have to carry a lot around. This keeps me from remembering one and forgetting the other. I would like to have an aluminum case, but then again they arent the same as a wallet.

I just got my Sena case (won on PPCThoughts, of course) today and replaced the massively huge universal case my 1910 was living in. The Sena case makes all the difference--and it's so pretty!! :)

I have leather and aluminium cases - they each serve the same purpose but have different ways of doing it. I like leather and hard.

I carried a Vaja case for 4 years for my Casio.

Just recently got a Toshiba e805 and they have no case for it there yet. :(

I use a pda wallet style case. Zips up, keeps everything inside. My only gripe about it is the money slot for it; I have to fold my (few) bills to fit inside. Oh well, what can ya do?

I had a Handspring wallet/case that fit both of my Handsprings. I had a Vaja and a Piel Frama case for my old iPaq 3835. I prefer my Piel Frama case to the Vaja (call me strange), which prompted me to a similar case for my Toshiba e755.

Now, I've got a case from casesonline.com. I got a belt case because I wanted to try a case that was more like a pocket or removeable cover; sort of like a sunglass case. I wanted to show off the case AND my bare ipaq. I think the iPaq looks cool with its well designed, shiny surfaces, but you never get to see that with most cases act more like a skin. I took some pics to show a friend:

The case I have is leather with elastic. It has two slots for SD cards (none for CF :( ) and a magnetic closure. What I really like is the design and the little metal HP symbol :D. Take a look!

I used a VAJA case for a long time with my 3870, then switched to an aluminum case which I really liked. Now that I've upgraded to a 2215, I've ordered a metal case for it as well.

Metal covers are good, the problem is, my office building has a metal detectors on its acess points, hence a metal cover creates the unnecessary attention to me everytime I went into/out of the building ..

Beep beep ... and then a security guard has to frisk you ... not nice. Hence I am using the ABS hard plastic cover.

Heck, six weeks ago I was in Calgary and set alarms off everytime I went in to/out of a store. This was with a leather case.

Everyone should post a picture of their PDA in its case.....

i have 4 different cases for my iPAQ 5555. A leather pouch, an aluminum case, a Silver Slider w/ cover paq & the HP executive hard case. Still not 100% happy. i need a case that will hold my 5555 with the extended battery and still fit in the cradle... Any suggestions?

Perhaps the metal detectors are set to be too sensitive. In most metal detectors that I have passed (and I do pass a LOT of metal detectors on daily basis, since most office buildings in jakarta have installed metal detectors), it is save to carry a PDA and keys in my pocket. But when I added a metal mobilephone (like the nokia 8850), I always got the beep beep beep.

My Dell Axim resides in a Rhinoskin Ti hardcase. Sure its heavy but I really like it.

Holy crap! You cannot be serious! I was in a mall in Calgary with my PPC in its leather case on my belt and when I walked past stores, the alarms all went off. EVERY time.

Now im afraid of walking into stores :?

Ditto here for my e740. The Palm III case fits it like a glove, and the way the case slides under itself is awesome. Supposedly it will survive a car rollover - not that I'm going to test that though. But I know it can survive the rigors of everyday use/carry.

hard cases are always better in my opinion - as was posted - they are very liberating in a safety-for-my-expensive-little-friend way.
