Hello,

When I updated my iPAQ H5550 with service pack that came out sometime in October, my device never woke up as I also posted on my website. I brought my iPAQ to service on 22.10.2003 and I have not gotten a new/repaired unit as of yet.

In our country there is a law that device under warranty must be repaired within 45 days after it was brought in. Well this did not happen. I called to HP and also to local service a few times and was never able to get a good answer what is going on. This Saturday though I sent a fax to the local service with a demand that I get a new unit or my money back because their time allowed by law has run out.

Well, today, just a few minutes ago I got a call from HP Slovenia and they wanted to have serial and product number as something was supposed to go wrong with the papers - they fingured this out 47 days after my unit was handled to them.

In UK I heard this is solved within 5 days so I assume something like this happens on smaller markets where there are not so many customers who buy such an expensive device.

You can read more about it on my website and I would sure like to hear your personal experience and what would you do in my case.

Best regards,
Peter Osterversnik

I've just undergone a striking example of why innovation can never be used as an excuse for poor customer service. And, yes, it's with HP of all folks.

See my rant in this thread (http://pocketpcthoughts.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=18813).

You're not alone.

Hello,

I guess my problem is different than yours. You still have the device though not an updated one but in my case I am still (even today) without it.
Today I intend to send a fax to our local market inspector and they will take over from here. I am also looking for options to publish this in some newspaper because I found out that I am not the only case where clients wait for such a long time but noone has gone forward with complaints. I will though, because this is not normal at all.

Regards,
Peter
