Does any such software exist?? The 43xx isn't supported by Nevo, so I am wondering if there is an alternative.

There are a bunch at handango, just enter "remote control" in the search box. Just be aware that the 4350 does not have Consumer IR. This means that its IR range is quite limited.

Does this mean that getting a program like this probably wouldn't be the best idea?? :cry:

My experience has been, with a different device, that the range is so short that you can almost reach the TV with your hand when you are close enough for the PPC to work.

There are some other solutions around that use the headphone jack to power a stronger IR port. There are some posts for this around so perhpas do a search here or on Google.
