Have owners of this unit had good luck with it?

I have been using mine for the last several months with no problems. I have even upgraded to WM2003. I had bought it from a friend that got it when they first came out, and he never had a problem. I had a 3635 before since June 2001, and neither one has given me any problems.

Are you having some troubles? :?:

Many people seem to be very happy with the 39xx series.

That said, there are newer ones out that are also (on the scale of PDAs) reasonably affordable.

What exactly do you need out of a PDA? Do you need to use the ipaq sleeves? Do you need a particular type of flash card slot? Is there a particular screen size that you'd prefer (it's all the same resolution, but screen sizes vary from 3.5-4.0". Bigger screen == bigger pixels, which is better for some, worse for others.

I am getting one for Christmas. I know that it is not a surprise but I found one on Ebay and we went ahead and got it but I can't touch it until Christmas. I have a 3650 right now that was given to me and I like it but I work as a Network Technician so I am always adding things to it for my job. I think the 3650 is nice but I can't do all of the things that I want to because of the lack of upgrades and memory.

I could not afford a brand new model but I wanted to get one that was upgradable and running a faster processor so I looked at the 39xx series. I also bought a sleeve with dual cf slots for the 3650 so I want to use it with 3950. Thats why I stuck with this type of unit.

I like this forum and I will keep asking questions about my IPAQ so I hope you won't mind.

Thanks Brian

I have a 3955 and a 2210. I love both. The screen is beautiful on the 3955 and with the sleeves you can do anything. I probably will never get rid of my 3955 no matter what else I get. It is stable and gives me few problems.

Indeed, the 3900 devices were probably the most stable devices I've ever used, but sadly I needed to sell mine so I could buy my 2200, but I still have my 3850, which definitely isn't as good as a 3900, but it's nice to look at it sitting in the cradle turned off and think it's a 3900

Good luck at Christmas
