A while back people where posting about software that enhanced ActiveSync by allowing synchronization of additional folders.

Whats the best add on software for active sync?

I would like to synchronize any folder on the device including folders on the memory card.

Yes there are. But mightysync would definitely be the first one i try. It also won a pocketpcmagazine award i think. For a list of others, why not go to www.pocketpcmag.com and have a look at their award nominees (for a list of semi-decent programs). Shouldn't take you too long to find the relevant section so i won't bother searching and including a link here :P

There's also this (http://www.thaipocketpc.net/product/pocketmultipartnersync.aspx), which allows synching with more than two computers.

PR.

Does this not work with PPC2003?

When I try to add a synch it will allow me to sync anywhere on the PC, but from the PocketPC I can only see the my documents folder but not the Storage Card or iPAQ safe store :?

I have no idea why, but I have never been able to get this to work. I have downloaded the demo numerous times and tried to get it to work between my Win2k work machine and my Jornada, but it just never seems to see the Jornada. Activesynce tells me that the device is connected but Mightysync tells me to connect my device. Very frustrating if I could just get the thing to work then I would definately be looking to purchase the software.

Sounds to me like MightySync may be expecting a specific version of ActiveSync to be installed, much like how PocketQuicken will not install if ActiveSync 3.7.1 is installed.

Hmmmmmm - hadn't thought of that. Maybe I will try with an older version. I know I have them all on disk somewhere.....
