View Full Version : Thoughts/Advice on 4150 + BT + Phone = Mobile Cloud 9

Gang, I'm interested in creating the following scenario:
iPaq 4150, connected to a BT-enabled phone, that has full www access in exactly the same way that is available to me via the Wi-Fi connection.
The goal is simple... to have the same web access while on the road as I have when connected to a Wi-Fi hot spot.
I've been absorbing the amazing amount of Wireless advice available on PPCT (some of you amaze me with your creative juices to make things work), and often go into information overload among the endless options available and the equally endless number of opinions about "the best solution". You guys are awesome. :werenotworthy:

My current plan is to switch my current ATT Wireless number to T*Mobile, use a Nokia 3650 with the unlimited web access feature currently being discussed (http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=190556&sid=25bd31d0eedc30d5c15ba7403133b4b2) to create the web access, and then use the BT on both devices to allow me to surf the web on the 4150 no matter where I am... for no additional cost.

I welcome all input on the +'s or -'s of my plan, any suggestions on config setup I'm going to be challenged by, and any alternative ideas I should consider. For new ideas, the only rules I impose is that I am staying with the 4150 (awesome device) as my PPC component, and ATT Wireless is not the carrier (very spotty GSM coverage in my area).

Thanks for your help and input!! :way to go:
