This is my 1,000th post and while I know that about twenty of you are ahead, I still want to "celebrate" a little and ponder on ten memorable moments!<br /><br />• The evening in Paris when I <a href="http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=18782">first saw the light</a>, in the form of a Casio Cassiopeia E-11.<br />• My first meeting with the Nordic Product Manager for Windows CE devices, Christin Walth. Her very person is the true definition of energy and inspiration.<br />• My meeting with Compaq VP Ted Clark when he pulled out a prototype of the first iPAQ Pocket PC, months before the launch<br />• My first GSM phone call using an iPAQ Pocket PC, a PC Card sleeve and Nokia's Card Phone<br />• Jason's e-mail on June the 9th, 2001: "Andreas, You have a great writing style, and I'm wondering if you're interesting in being a correspondent for my site, specifically in the enterprise space. I know you don't have a lot of time, but there are some great enterprise apps and stories out there..."<br />• Severly <a href="http://www.theregister.co.uk/content/54/24145.html">regretting</a> a <a href="http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=175">post</a>, and then <a href="http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=208">not regretting it</a><br />• Seeing my book on <a href="http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0201750791/">Amazon.com</a><br />• The day Pocket PC outsold Palm in Sweden<br />• When Dell announced their first Pocket PC<br />• Seeing "Stinger" (Smartphone) the first time, years (!) before the launch<br /><br />There are many more memorable moments, but these were the first to come jumping up the screen when I started to type! :)

Congrats from the other side of the Sound too. :D

Nice link to your book! Our temp developer and I are trying to pursuade our boss to make better use of PPC's in our daily work and your book seems like a good place to get better arguments. 8)

While I'm not a big reader of "your portion" of the site, congratulations anyway. This site is amazing, and all the contributors are top-notch. I'm a recent Palm-->PPC convert and it wouldn't have been this smooth if 1) I weren't such a geek  and 2) this site weren't so good. :D

Congrats for the 1000th post, Andy.

Your posts were surely one of the "features" that brought to me the interest in reading PPC Thougths every day. You were surely one of the great contributors to make this site one of the best information sites in the internet, in my point of view.
