turn off channel scanning

ok, this is my first post so be patient w/ me. :D i have a dell x3i. most of the time i get a great connection using my d-link router. sometimes, it will scan channels and that causes it to disconnect. how do i get it to stick to one channel? TIA

What exactly do you mean? If you're connected to your Access Point, does your X3i suddenly "not care" and go looking for other signals? Are you able to surf the web and check e-mail?
