I just want to see one... There was a picture at PocketPCBoston that showed it next to a Jornada 568/ Pocket Keyboard...
The 435X looked the same size or smaller! - If it is similar size to my 568, this might be the one...
I just need to see one live…

compusa has one. size wise the 4350is about as tall as a 5550 (with the antenna), slightly thinner, and not quite as wide.

I saw one today at Office Depot. So far, it's the only retail store I've seen the 435x series in. They're selling it for $497. It's a nice PDA. The associate let me hold one out of the box (the display one was totally locked in). I was just curious. As has been pretty much pointed out, it's about as long as a typical PDA, but thinner. But yes, you need to hold one for yourself to see-only you can make the call.
I have the 4155 and am most pleased, so I think you'll like the 435x. If a thumboard is a must-have for you, you'll just love it then. I have an attachable thumboard for my 4155, but personally don't want the added length of it permanently being attached, so I'm happier with the 4155.

Thanks for the heads-up on Office Depot...
The 2 CompUSAs here in the Nashville area don't yet have them...
Is your thumb-board on the 415X from HP? Is it backlit?

Bob:
1. Yes, the thumboard is an HP one. Bought at Comp USA.
2. No, it is not backlit.
By the way, the Comp USAs near me in PA don't seem to have the 435x series yet either. I have only seen it at Office Depot, of which I only know of one in my area. In fact, I don't seem to see the 4155 at all the usual expected retail stores either, just some, like Circuit City. Office Depot doesn't have it, while they do have the 4355.

My local CompUSA on Long Island, NY had it when I was in there this past Sat. I held it, and did a quick test to see how fast I could type with the thumb keyboard. It seems to be sweet! I was also able to turn on and off the Bluetooth without any error messages so apparently it doesn't suffer the same problems as my WM2003 upgraded 3870.
