where do i start

I need to get a PPC but I dont know where to begin. I dont want to spend a fortune but I want something reliable and that wont be outdated in 2 yrs.
It must be compatable with my dell portable computer and software caled sales logix. Have a very old palm which I will need to download the info off and onto my new PPC. Any tips and comments will be greatly appreciated.

1) They will all be outdated in 2 years. A model like the X5 or 2215 have lots of expansion capabilities though so may be able to keep up with future technology.
2) I know nothing about Sales Logix. If they have a PPC version, all PPCs should be able to run the software.
3) They should all work with your PC.
4) Install Outlook on your PC (comes with the PPC if you don't have it already) then Pocket Mirror from your Palm CD. this will put everything in Outlook. Now install ActiveSync and everything in Outlook will get copied to your PPC.

Sales Logix? Do you mean the customer relationship management software?
