Hello

I have a couple web sites I would like to use on the PPC. They use client side java. Any software I can use to view Java web pages?

I have the iPAQ 5550, Pocket PC 2003.

Thanks
David

I would recommend that you load the Jeode Runtime that came on your CD. You might want to also try something like Pocket Plus and many sites that use Java also use more than one window at a time.

I loaded Jeode

The java applet now starts to load, but it says it could not be loaded after a long wait.

The FAQ says if could be because of memory. This iPAQ has 128mb, and I have hardly anything on it, its all on a Flash card. I also watched the memory usage, and it stayed very low.

Any other options? Is there a good PIE replaceme,t that runs Java applets correctly?

Thanks
David

NetFront (http://www.access.co.jp/english/ppc/) is supposed to have much better Java support, although I've never tried it.

Does anyone have experience with Netfront? The webpage provided by Janak looks enticing, but without purchasing the full package, one can't be sure if everything works well.

I'm hoping someone will volunteer their advice/experience on this one...
