I know this type of question has been asked a million times before so please bear with me if I've repeated anything!
At work, I have a serial connection to activesync, using a proxy server to access the internet on my old 3870. Everything worked perfectly...
Trying the same with my new 2210, problems.
I can sync AvantGo channels so the proxy settings are correct but the internet pass through isn't working at all.
On ActiveSync, 'Tools' - 'Options' - 'Rules' - 'Connection' is set to 'The Internet'
Pocket PC settings settings:
From 'Connections', 'Edit my proxy server';
This Network connects to the internet is ticked
This network uses a proxy server etc... is ticked
Proxy server address is set (same one as AvantGo autodetected).
Hit 'Advanced'
HTTP Server is as the proxy server, port 8080 (as AvantGo autodetected).
Socks is set to the same but port 1080
I can't change the Socks setting without 'greying' out all my internet favourites on the Pocket PC so I'm assuming it's required
however AvantGo isn't using a Socks Proxy server this seems odd.
Tearing my hair out here, anyone spot anything I'm doing wrong? AFAIC I have the same settings as my 3870.
