SD Card Syncing

Hey guys,
So i was messing around with my sisters zire 71 today, pretty nifty, and i was trying to load some mp3's up onto her sd card. Well, needless to say the syncing went super slow, and it took an hour just to add 4 songs to the device. I was wondering if this was the normal, or if it is due to some other variable such as the fact that she is using a usb 1 connection i believe. Do any of you guys know how long would it takes (approximately) to load a 200 mb movie onto an sd card? Thx for your input

In short, don't try and sync data with SD cards inserted in PDAs -- instead, get a dedicated SD USB reader. They're not expensive and will be much, much faster, even on USB 1.

(Assuming, of course, the Zire 71 supports FAT-formatted SD cards. I believe so, but I've never owned one. Pocket PCs work with the above scheme very well.)
