I'm wondering how to stop the HP2215 from constantly reporting no network present when my 802.11 card is not inserted.
Is it a must to go to Connections and tell it to use a driver other than the 802.11 driver?
Thanks,
Mark Esposito

Depends on youre card and drivers installed I guess.
It also might report to you that no network is present when you click on a weblink or email addres in youre contacts list or any other similar stuff.
Wifi isnt the only means of connecting, there is bleutooth and activesync as well and WM2k3 will let you know no network is present whenevr you trigger something that requires a connection.

I think I figured it out. I have Activesync set to sync every 15 minutes. It's not very intelligent I guess. I would have thought that it would stop trying when the network card is no longer inserted.
Shutting off Activesync doesn't solve the problem either. I noticed that everytime I powered-on, Activesync has started again. If I'm correct then, everytime you insert the 802.11 card you need to reset Activesync to do automatic synching.
