WM2003 Compatibility

This is one thing which really puzzles me: Application compatibility with WM2003.
If an app works with PPC2k2, does it work with WM2k3? If an app is listed on Pocketgear as requiring 'Pocket PC', does that mean it will work with WM2k3? What's the full story?

Not always, I have a few apps that work well under 2002 but will not work or in some cases even install under 2003. Caveat Emptor

Would that be 'Some' apps or 'Most' apps?

Some, not most. Probably 80% or more of the 2002 software I accumulated works fine under 2003.
