We want to connect our two ipaqs 1945 using Microsoft Portrait to chat and try audio conversations.

But how do I set it up? We tried a bunch of things but nothing could make it work.
why? BIC!

I just tried it with a 2215 and a 4155, both with builtin BT. First I set up a new connection in the BT connection manager. There is a Join a personal network option. You just set the first unit up to host and let it find the second unit and connect. second unit will get an accept/reject screen. Both units should show being connected to the other. This sets up the IP connection required.

Then open portrait on each. Go to the about menu and you will see the current IP of your PPC. It will be an odd number like 196.254.168.39. Go to the other PPC running portrait and call using that IP. If you see more than one IP in the Portrait help screen, pick the one where the first two sets of numbers (196.254..) are the same as on the other PPC.
