Okay, I came here because I need some help. Right now I have a Toshiba e310 and I really want a smaller Pocket PC. I like to just toss it in my purse and go and the Toshiba is a little tall. Plus, don't laugh, but I have small hands and the e310 is sometimes awkward for me to hold!

I want to get either the Axim x3 or the iPaq 2215. I like the look of the iPaq better, but the price on the Dell is much more attractive to a college student such as myself! I have read tons of reviews but I can't decide. Can any of you offer any info/recommendations/reviews of either or both devices?

Any reponses would be much appreciated. Thanks! :D

Hey Shelley
I was researching both of those pdas and in my opinion, u should get the 2215. Not putting the X3 down, but if you want to get a lasting pda with dual expansion slots and a very quick processor, i would go with the 2215. However, there's another option. We share the common trait of both being poor college students, so while i was looking up on these pda's, i found the ipaq 1945 to be the most bang for my buck. It has everything the 2215 has, except for the cf slot, and is a 100 bux cheaper. IMHO, if you are looking for a powerful, small, handheld, you should look into the 1945.

Gotta love the poor college students!!

The 1945 was originally the one that I wanted because it was so tiny. I am just so torn!! There are too many choices!! :D

Does it matter if I don't care about a CF slot? I have several gadgets that use SD cards, so I'd rather not add another type of media if I can help it.

Having tested both devices myself for a resent purchase I would recommend the Axim X3 series. It is a fast unit which performs well, I ended up buying the X3i personally. THe only thing I would recommend would be getting the 1800mA battery if you decide to invest in the X3i. Hope this helps some.

I am really leaning towards the axim....my boyfriend is a Dell freak!! He keeps telling me to get it. Money wise, I'd have to get the plain X3...since it's only $229. I think I may be leaning towards that one.

Any opinions are definitely welcome though!! Thanks for the input! :D

I would suggest that if you think you might like to use wireless with the X3, get the X3i. It's true that you could use a wireless card in the SD slot, but most likely, if you get into PPC stuff, you'll be using that slot for program/data memory.
