Hi, my company is considering buying the iPAQ 2210, 2215 or 4350 (with built-in keyboard) to build a PocketPC application that will take pictures through a camera connected to the PPC.
We tested our application in the Axim X5 with the VEO Photo Traveler, and it works just fine (a lot of work accessing the SDK of the VEO camera....but finally got it). The only caveat is that the VEO photo Traveler does not zoom, and takes images at a range of 50mm. We are looking for a better range of 35mm or better zoomming capabilities to let the user play with the image.
Which iPAQ could you recommend? And which camera to use with it?
The HP Photosmart seems to use the SD slot to connect to the iPAQ.....but I need that slot to put my memory card (the VEO connects to the Axim via the CF slot, leaving the SD slot for my digital card where I store the images).
Do you know if the PhotSmart camera comes with an SDK to access it programatically? I develop in .NET CF, so even if they give me a non-.NET DLL (like the VEO camera) I can access it.
I found this other camera for the Ipaq, but does not say which specific model of the IpAQ:

what do you think of this camera? or company?
