I am not sure if I know the difference twixt these two.

I have a problem with setting the background(?). I can get the jpg or gif image to display instead of the default or that awful 'fire', but my image is very washed-out. Is there a special trick here? :|

I use ThemeMaker McDeb for making themes.
There is a trial period so check it out. http://www.mcdeb.com/MT/archives/mcgear/000372.html

Microsoft also has a free, basic theme editor that you can grab from www.pocketpc.com.

Hate to be a hand-holder, but been there and can't find it. MS has a habit of whipping things away without telling anyone, so maybe it has gone?

I have a bunch of free themes that I have made on my site:

PPCC Free Themes here (http://www.angelfire.com/ultra/ppcc/downloads.htm)

Here is the link to the MS Powertoy to make your themes:

MS Powertoy theme creator, second link down (http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmobile/resources/downloads/pocketpc/powertoys.mspx)

Hope that helps!

Mine are at PocketPC Themes.

Anyone checking out the MS site, be careful with the Windows Theme Switcher software they have. I installed it on my Axim and all kinds of things happened.

First my backup battery claimed to be dead

Calligrapher wouldn't work at all

Twice my Axim froze and I had to hard reset.

Thank goodness for Pocket Backup.

Removing the app brought things back to normal.

Hey Justin, I like your Dark Porsche theme.

Good advice dh, and yes, I agree, do not install that Theme Switcher, it is buggy and can lock up your device, would not recommend it! 8O

Thanks guys, and what a great site :) I know where to come to broaden my imagination of what I can do with my iPAQ. When I have time, I hope to be able to do some things of my own, but in the meantime...
