Being from europe, I would rather go with Pocket Cook Deluxe (http://www.pocket-cook.com/deluxe.htm) for the same price.

As far as i can tell from the screenshots, featurelist and the pdf-manual, PDACookbook Plus can't convert from US to metric wich makes it 100% useless.... :(

It's nice in theory, but I am so paranoid about destroying my PDAs that I dont think I could use one in the kitchen.. unless it was a PDA I had dedicated to coooking.. ohhh I think I have found an excuse for buying another PDA :lol:

But since there's probably only a few HUNDRED of us who would love to win this product...wouldn't it make more sense to have this contest eligible for people who really want it?

I have no problem using my PDA in the kitchen. We get along fine there!

I hear what you're saying and understand your sentiment completely. It's always a challenge, though, to balance making giveaways as specific as possible (by requiring people to actually enter, for example) with the amount of time and effort it takes to administer a giveaway. For this kind of random selection, we've got some cool tools that make it easy to choose the winners and send them an e-mail notification; it is *relatively* easy for us. On the other hand, the process involved in giveaways that require entrants to actively enter (like when we give away a case for a specific Pocket PC model), can easily take an hour from selecting the winners to notifying them. That might not sound like much, but it adds up when you consider all the giveaways we sponsor.

Anyway, for software that seems to be of interest to specific user types (as opposed to, say, general utilities), I'll try to use a system more often where only those who really feel they can use it are entered.

I bought this program (along with the BookBag product) and is it wonderful! Their home page gives you links to thousands of recipes (all free) and you can download and install them in about six clicks. I have wanted something like this for a long time and couldn't find it. Because of the contest I was able to buy it. Thanks.
