:?: VITO Remote (a TV/VCR/etc. remote controller) is compatible with the h1900 series - how close do you have to stand to the TV?!?

Is it truly compatable with the 1940? I believe that the 1940 does NOT have a consumer level IR, and I believe that Vito remote requires it. At least on their site they say that the 1910 is compatable, but they don't mention the 1940.
