Martin, I know you're out there! Here's a curious thing that happened with my iPaw and textmaker.

I installed the HP printing software which says it requires the ClearVue software. These programs hijacked the .doc file associations away from Textmaker.

OK. I uninstalled them and used Resco Explorer to associate .doc files with tmp.exe. However, when tapping on a doc file, I get the error message that says "there is no program associated with 'tmp'" .

Very strange. I re-installed Textmaker and everything is great, but thought you should know about this. Seems that if the file associations are changed that TM doesn't want to get them back.

Still love TM though!

Only TextMaker's setup program creates the .doc file association, not TextMaker itself. The easiest would be to simply re-run the setup program and install TextMaker over itself. You won't lose any files this way.

The other solution would be to manually tweak the registry, but the first way is easier.

Thanks for the info, Martin. That's exactly what I did.
