Does anyone know if you can get a TV/radio tuner for a PPC that fits into an SD I/O slot?

This link goes to ibiz corp which has a CF card FM radio. They also sell a SD FM radio, but they only market it for Palm handhelds.

I dont think it can be used for tv... also , I emailed them asking when they would have th sd radio available for the ppc, they sent me an email back stating they were currently working on it. SUPPOSEDLY, they are going to email me when it is ready for viewing and purchasing. we shall see.

Sony has developed a TV tuner in Memory Stick format. I'm not sure if they've released it yet. You'd need to use a CF to MS adapter.
CF FM/AM radios are fairly common, but don't really make sense (to me) yet. Why did you want one?

A tv tuner for my ppc would be cool. does anyone have any experience with the sony tv tuner?
Some people are more into a radio than they are to listening to their selected mp3's. Radio has a different 'feel' to it. one device doign it all.

I see it coming in handy on a morning commute. True, it's only FM, but sometimes you may not want to listen to the mp3 player

I concur, I just got one for my morning commute and for those days when I am sitting in front of the PC all day, at work.
Sometimes I just prefer Public Radio to my MP3s/WMAs. Simply put... WBIC :D

My PPC usually stays docked at my desk all day at work. We're not supposed to stream content from the Internet on company computers and I do get tired of my 300 songs on my 1G CF memory card.
A clock radio wouldn't pick up stations at my desk away from the window. Someone told me to try a Walkman, which worked well, but ate up batteries. The Pocket Radio, tucked into the CF card slot at hooked up to a pair of passive speakers works just great for me. Once in awhile, due to weather, the stations will get fuzzy and not come in, and that's when I change to the mp3.
It was well worth the investment for it.
Cheers,
Pam
