I just bought a piel frama case for my Hp but it hasn't arrived yet. Can someone explain how having a proper case might resolve the grip problem.
Many Thanks

lol it wont. Im using a sony clie leather case. The ipaq fits peffect!!! not too tight not too lose. There isn't much tension when i pull the case...very little to none!! BUT YET!!!!!!!! the stupid grips came off. I wish some one would hurry up and make the 3rd party solution. Even though hp sent me a new pair...im pretty sure they will be falling off soon.

The new pair of grips that you have are the exact same as the ones now, they will fall off and break untill HP gets their act together and creates a pair with a new design that is stronger and more rugged.

P.S - Maybe an a aluminum hard case from Proporta.com will solve the grip issue?

At least those of you in USA appear to be getting your sidepieces replaced promptly. I've been waiting 11 days now, and on chasing HP in UK yet again today they were still unable to give me an expected delivery date. Apparently the 'Repair Centre' is in Netherlands.
Pretty poor show, HP.
