PSW file corrupt...

Hello

I have 5 psw files. (Pocket Word). They were created on mv HP iPaq 5550 running Pocket PC 2003.

They were stored on my SD card.

I then took that card out of the iPaq, and moved the files off the SD card onto the laptop. I noticed they were not transformed into DOC files, because they were not being copied direct from the iPaq.

So I moved them back onto the iPaq. Now they are unreadable. They just show garbage characters.

Has anyone come across this before?
Is there a utility which will recover these files?
I have no backup, as I have just created them recently, and this was the backup process...

Did you try looking in C:\Documents and Settings\%username%\Application Data\Microsoft\ActiveSync\Profiles\%pocketpc%\Synchronized Files Backup?
