I've got an Axim X5 and using an 802.11b card, but I'm upgrading my home network to 802.11g. I know I won't really benefit from a g card in the Axim overall, but I'd like to hold my home network as g only to get the full speed, rather than have the whole thing shift down to b speeds because of my one device. Any word on anyone coming out with a g CF card?

Or, am I misinformed that going b on one means I'm stuck at b on everything. When not using my Axim I like to stream data between rooms, and g has been very nice for tv shows and the like.

Gratz.

You'll only see a drop in speed if the Axim is powered on and actively hitting the radio, so day to day you probably won't have a problem. I haven't heard of any .G CF cards as of yet.

And moreover, it's questionable how much of a benefit you'd get with a Pocket PC anyway.

Yes, I was more concerned about the downshift with the b device present. If that's not a problem, as Jason suggests, I should be fine. Thanks!
