Win server 2003 & bluetooth widcomm software problems

I've recently come across this problem when trying to set up my win server 2003 to host bluetooth connectivity. seems that msi's bluetooth software will not install onto a server 2003. Has anyone encountered this problem? is there another software i can use that will manage the bluetooth connectivity? I have been able to install the drivers, just not the software portion.

sort of similair issues here with an Ambicom.
Software does install, but keeps crashing the server.

Believe it or not I have to actually hack widcomm just to get it to work on server 2003 or hold my breath as MSI (and other vendors) ship their recieved copy of 1.4.x widcomm software that was supplied by widcomm.
