Does anyone have any experience with using the DCF-660W with an Ipaq 22xx? I'm thinking of buying one (110€) but I want to find out any incompatibility issues beforehand..

The D-Link site doesn't mention the Ipaq 2215 in the compatibility list for the card..

I've had that card working in my 2215 with the PPC2002 driver for a few months now. Not problems whatsoever. I highly recommend searching for posts that describe how to install the PPC2002 drivers because the ones that came on my DCF-660W CD did not work. D-Link has beta drivers for WM2003 http://support.dlink.com/Products/view.asp?productid=DCF-660W that work for some people. I couldn't get them to work the first time I tried them. Since the PPC2002 drivers work, I'm going to wait for non-Beta WM2003 drivers before I switch.

There are a few others on this board with the DCF-660W as well. If you have any other questions, I'm sure somebody will answer.

I've been using the 660w for three months without any issues. I've been using it with the PPC 2002 drivers without issue. So well in fact, that I will not update the drivers. Go for it! If you have any problems, we will get you through them.

some people have reported high failure rates, my dcf660w had to be exchanged for a new one as it died. My only problem with it now is it seems to drain the power out of my 2215 in standby. That might be buggy drivers though, so I can't be sure.

I've seen this card going really cheap at www.expansys.com compaired to other manufactures.

How much battery life do you get when using wifi? I've heard it's only two hours before the battery dies, is this true?

I like the idea of wifi, and obviously wouldn't be using it all the time, but I'm curious as to it's functionality. Can I leave it inserted but only turn it on when I need it, or when it's plugged in and the ipaq is on, does it automatically start to drain battery life?

I'm posting this now on my Ipaq, wirelessly at the university. That means I've got the card and its working like a charm! Thanks for all the info.

...wireless bliss. Now all I need is a keyboard...
