Ok, so I have looked just about everywhere and have not been able to find an answer to my problem.

I have an iPAQ 5500 and the slim keyboard option. When I install the driver on my device it does not work evern though the HP Shopping website (where I ordered the keyboard) says the device supports WM2003.

I can not seem to find an updated driver anywhere and I have done a few searches to turn up anyone else with the same problem but I can't find anything.

Does anyone have this configuration working? And if so where can I get the updated driver?

Thanks in advance,
Jeremy

As far as I know, nobody has been able to get this keyboard to work with WM2003. I've never been able to find any mention of this keyboard on HP's site except to purchase it. No support, no driver, no nothing. HP really dropped the ball on this one and if I'd bought one of these and then couldn't use it, I'd be incredibly irritated.

When I reviewed this keyboard (http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/articles.php?action=expand,14768) for Thoughts a few months ago, I put two support requests in to HP to inquire about WM2003 support. At that time, the h5400 update wasn't available and I don't think the h5500 series was shipping yet. I never received a reply to either request and posts from members here indicate that the driver which ships with the keyboard still does not function properly under WM2003.

I would suggest calling HP to let them know you are fed up with this. (E-mail apparently doesn't work.)

I actually did call their tech support line to inquire about a driver for WM2003.
First off, they were extremely rude. They basically told me that they could not do anything for me. I told them that their website advertises the keyboard as being WM2003 compatible and that they had to provide a driver. The phone support rep then gave me a case number and told me to call HP shopping. When I called HP shopping all they said they could do was exchange the unit. ARGH:(

When I get a few spare minutes, I'm going to slightly revise my review so that new readers are aware of the WM2003 issues. I just can't believe HP is behaving this way, though I suppose I shouldn't be surprised. It's become the rule rather than the exception that big corporations treat their customers like crap.

I have a 3955 ipaq o/s 2003. I installed the driver from the CD and it seems to work fine. I didn't really have a chance to work with this keyboard when I had 2002 so I don't know what works or doesn't work compared to each operating system or even if there is a difference.

I had the same problem and was eventually able to get a excellant rep at HP to send me the WM2003 driver. This helped, but they have also had some quality control issues with this keyboard. Evidently there is a problem in the some of the first units that do not make full contact with the 5500 series, so only half of the keyboard works or some keys have to be pressed several times. I can send you the driver if you give me your email address. I hope this helps.

Now that is awesome :!:
DM that is great that you can help jeremyweisser! This is what the forums are all about, good community and help :!: I Love it :!:  8)
I would still contact HP and get them on the ball, and it is also important what you were talking about Dave Beauvais, because that editing the review can really help a lot of people out, starting with not become frustrated :!:
