Speereo VO 1.8 on Dell

I was reviewing the 2003 winners for PDA software in Pocket PC Magazine and saw that the Speereo Voice Organizer was a winner. I downloaded a trial version for my Axim X5 because I often have to look up a contact phone number while driving....thought that this would be a nice way to do so. Everytime I hit the Record button to activate the voice commands, however, my Dell just opens up the Voice Recorder and saves a note.....

Has anyone successfully used this application on a Dell (or other PDA) and could tell me what I might be doing wrong?
