Hello everyone,
I have a Toshiba e330 and the USB Host cable.
I also have just bought myself a PS/2 to USB cable, because I thought that I would be able to hook up my PS/2 Keyboard to my PPC that way.
However, it asks me for the driver name every time and I was wondering if I was doing something wrong? Do I need a separate PS/2 driver? (I currently have DeJe's Mass Storage driver) Any help would be much appreciated!
Thanks in advance.

Well, I don't think you're going to be very successful. It's too bad, since there's PS/2 keyboards that I absolutely love and some USB keyboards that I can't stand.

The issue at hand is how the Pocket PC Operating System recognizes something called a "Human Interface Device", or in Microsoft parlance, a HID.

Microsoft utilizes a spec called the "Device Class Definition for Human Interface Devices", created by the USB specification organization (http://www.usb.org/developers/devclass_docs/HID1_11.pdf), and created their own HID spec for Windows in general.

For Windows CE and CE.Net 4.2, your PS/2 to USB converter should match one of the identifiers listed in this MSDN spec:
http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/library/en-us/wceddk40/html/_wceddk_Sample_HID_Class_Driver.asp

If your PS/2 to USB converter doesn't identify itself properly to the operating system as a generic HID class device, it will ask for a driver.

Hope this helps,
Steve

Thanks, but I didn't really know what to make of all that.

However, after more searching around, I came up with this.
http://www.iptel-now.de/HOWTO/STOWAWAY_LIKE/stowaway_like.html
I downloaded the driver for the stowaway keyboard and everything, but now i'm stuck. I'm sure this can work. Can anyone help me out?!

Thanks again,
Super.

Ok, I know I'm just talking back and forth to myself now, but in case anyone was curious...it works now!

 All I needed was DeJe's USB HID Beta Driver and it works perfectly now, so you can use all ur PS/2 devices. Wooooooooot!!

Super.
