Hi, my Ipaq 2215's in the mail (and should arrive tomorrow *fingers crossed*) and I would like to purchase a SD wifi card to go with it.
However, I've read some threads where people had problems, but some people says it works fine - so does it really?
There are new drivers now, so that should help... right?
Or should I play it safe with a CF wifi card that I might not even be able to use with my next PDA? Thanks :)

I have it and there are no major problems with it
occasionally if insert the card while the system is off it might not detect it
I rarely have dropped connections, sometimes a wifi network would cause my pda to slow to a crawl, twice in maybe 30 attempts, removing the card and inserting it again usually does the trick. It uses a lot battery but I think any wifi does that.

Remember, any technology that comes out there is always someone that complains about it. Technology doesnt work great for everyone, just like cell phones dont work in every place in the world.
If you want it, buy it, get the best deal you can get on it like at ecost.com

I just don't want to be one of those people the wifi card will not work for
Thanks for the tip about eCost, they're having a "shopping cart special" so it was cheaper than eBay buy it now prices!

yeah I like buying from there as well. They have blow outs of their memory and related stuff often, so keep checkin it out first when you want to buy.
I paid the premium to be Socket's beta tester...
The Socket SDIO doesn't understand how to negotiate WEP keys for me.
The card is tiny and worked paid for it, so I'll hold on to it for another 90 days.

I don't have a wifi card for my 2210 yet, but I was kind of leaning towards the CF version. I think the only drawback is that becuz it's so small the reception won't be as strong... But you would probably get better battery performance out of it.
