View Full Version : Just Recieved My New iPAQ 2215 Grips - They are the EXACT same!!

I got my supposedly "new" grips from HP Canada, but they are the same plastic rubber ones as before, same clip size, everything! What is this about, anyone have any ideas?

Well how did the install go? Do they fit better? Less prone to coming out?

They are just replacements, no change in design or anything. :? Ppl over brighthand forums were discussing about the bottom hooks to be larger than before but not everyone was convinced to that theory either. So just hope that problem doesn't start all over again.

Yep. They are the same, I was really hoping for new ones. I guess they arent, they are the same! :(

lol they customer rep I talked to said that they didnt have the side grips available in canada, so I had to send my dearly beloved. I didnt complain just because my headphone jack was twitchy and the dpad unresponsive. I hope this new sidegrips just look like the old one but are made with a nu material!

They are available, you have to phone the number ..., but since you sent it in, no worries!

yeah... I think it'd take some time before they would come out with a new design to the grips since they only have the current form factor to work with..

Didyou really expect them to be different? I don't think they'll redesign the grips for this release, though I'd hope that would be taken into consideration for the 2300 series(or whatever :D ). They just made the replacements available, which is great, that they recognized the problem, I'd suggest getting 2 sets if you can, just in case ;)
