on my pocket pc phone i have all 3 messagers and internet service and the im messagers will not let me login...is there like any speical thing i need 2 do?

I also have the updated msn messgaer thing for ppc 2002

msn messenger does not allow you to connect if you have your connections set through a proxy (for example: t-mobile offers the getmorespeed proxy locate at internet2.voicestream.com).

check your connection settings for internet and make sure a proxy isnt assigned.

Well if i remove the for example: t-mobile offers the getmorespeed proxy locate at internet2.voicestream.com) then it will not let me conntect to they internet anymore..Cause i have t-mobileinternet

From what I remember, Yahoo messenger didn't work all that well unless you were hooked up through a dial-up modem.

yahoo messenger is now officially and completely DEAD.

it had been rumored to be dead some time ago, but i actually was able to get it working. it turned out that using a proxy (unlike msn messanger) allowed yahoo messenger to start working again (dont ask me why) but about 3-4 months ago it quit working for good.

i think yahoo killed it since they arent getting any kickbacks for it -- they now only support phones that include it in their rom...

but, back to msn messenger, you should be able to connect without setting up the proxy. here are my settings for no proxy:

vpn is internet3.voicestream.com
internet is internet2.voicestream.com
and under "proxy settings" i just have "this device connects to the internet" checked.

should work
