<a href="http://www3.compaq.com/support/reference_library/viewdocument.asp?dt=9&amp;source=CN0243W.xml">http://www3.compaq.com/support/reference_library/viewdocument.asp?dt=9&amp;source=CN0243W.xml</a><br /><br />If you have a new iPAQ 5100, 5500 or a 3800/3900/5400 that is running Pocket PC 2003, you won't be able to use your Bluetooth Wireless Pack With CF Slot from HP/Compaq. Some of those models have bluetooth integrated so that is no big deal but it doesn't seem the sleeve works at all, so you'll give up the CF slot and the extra battery life the sleeve gave you. They don't seem to sell the sleeve anymore, and I think <a href="http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/index.php?topic_id=19436">we all know why.</a>  <br /><br />So if you are using one of the older devices with Pocket PC 2002 and this sleeve, you might think again before upgrading to Pocket PC 2003.<br /><br /><b><span style="color:red">Update:</span> Small Town Man</b> has posted a link in the discussion thread to a workaround. It involves a registry hack, so be careful, but this might allow you to use 2003 with your BT Expansion Pack. :way to go:

Luckily that only affects 2 out of possible 7 models - since HP are FULLY committed to integrated Bluetooth and have retired other older expansion packs in the past...! Ha...! :)

You may want to read the instructions on this german site. Don't worry the instructions are english.

Well, I never had much faith in bluetooth, but I now use it every day.

So, I must say it works quite well. I have a SonyEricsson T616 with AT&T. I use it for data access via bluetooth. I also use the Jabra bluetooth headset, which works pretty well. Last, but not least I use a Belkin, USBtoBluetooth adapter on my notebook to sync contacts, ring tones, pictures(FROM PHONE) etc to and from the phone......

I am not quite sure that bluetooth is dead, but rather begining to awaken....

After all, most phones are begining to have bluetooth....

I personally think it is dumb to assume bt is dead, adn saying we all know why is crap as well. with all the posts on there I would say it is far from dead. If it ever does go dead then we can assume something much better than bt will replace it, and again prices will be high for while. such is the cycle. I personally think more devices are going to include bt. so when does the dvd become dead???????

Yeah, they don't sell it because most new PDA'S aimed at "the mobile road warrior" have bt built in :p
