View Full Version : 256MB Secure Digital showing 182mb instead

I've had my 256mb secure digital not even a year yet and I don't have anything in there. Everything is erased, but yet, it only displayed as 182mb and 179mb on my other ipaq.

Any thoughts?

Get a card reader and format it using your PC. That should hopefully fix it. Or you can use a program called Flash Format.

Thanks, my card reader reads up to 128mb only. So I bought Flash Format and format the card and it worked.

Back to 240mb out of 256mb, how do you calculate this things again? I know you can't get 256mb, 8bytes x ? I forgot. Oh well. 240mb sounds right.

240 is about right.
