I downloaded PocketTV and the MPEG1 program they recommend. I used the settings (except for something about B's and P's) to convert an AVI to MPG1. I kept the resolution at 280x200 or something like that. The file only went down 30MB, from 180MB to 150MB. What am I doing wrong?

BTW - I'm a new pocket pc user. Loving my 1935.

I moved this thread into the multimedia forum, because that's what it's really about. :-)

What was the resolution and bit rate of your original video file?

Sorry bout that

320x240 and 95 on the bit rate. Does it matter since I adjusted it in that conversion program? I dunno lol. I just want settings to cut that file size down.

That's about right. I have a two hour movie at 118mb sets at 320x240 at 180kbps for video and audio in Windows Media Video conversion in 20fps. Before the WMV conversion, which was MPEG-1, it was 337mb at 320x240 at 225kbps at 30fps.

That gives you a general idea how big it should be, depending on the length of the video.

I suggest www.dvdhelp.us and check out their tutorial. It'll give you a general idea how to use the program.
