Hi, I have an h5450 with WM2003.
I have this problem since I bought it (with PPC2002), when I press the Mail hard button, the program only shows his header (Inbox) and the footer (New Tools Accounts and the 2 icons).
I mean, there is no mails, you can't see them. And if you go to the iTask, is like the program is not running, I mean, is not listed in the iTask list.
Is this normal?
Any solutions?
Thanks in advance for your thoughts.

Are you in the correct account?
If yo created an email account like a POP3 account, you might be in ActiveSync instead of the one you created... hence the empty Inbox...
can you confirm this by pressing the D-Pad left and right?

I have the same problem on the HP 5555. I have to click the start button and hit inbox from there. Funny thing is that after I go in that way, from then on I can hit the mail button and it works fine until I have to do a soft reset.

I have a POP3 account and the ActiveSync account.
When i say that I dont' see the emails, Is that I get the header and footer of the Inbox, and I still see the "Today Screen" (for example).

I had this problem with an h5455 updated to WM 2003 and with an h5555 (WM 2003 already installed).
Use a file explorer to make a shortcut (.lnk) file for tmail.exe in the \Windows directory. Then put that shortcut file in the \Windows\Start Menu folder. Use the control panel to remap the Inbox button to tmail.lnk. The button will now work perfectly. You can then make the shortcut file a hidden file so that it doesn't clutter up the Start menu.

Great!
Thanks for this - it always drove me crazy, never understood who it would with sometimes and not others.

The only (non importan) problem is you can not swap betwen Accounts by pressing the "Inbox" botton.
